Labels can be assigned to one or more Identities to create groups. These groups are represented in the applications by a colour and a name.
Labels are used throughout the apps to grant/deny Access to your site, filter Activity and Identities, create Alarms and export Reports.
A few example use cases for labels include:
Department labels: HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance.
Job type labels: Brick Layer, Project manager, Site Manager.
Employment type labels: Staff, Contractor, Delivery.
Shift/Team labels: Morning/Afternoon, Monday Shifts/Wednesday Shift.
Labels can be assigned different colours creating a visual representation throughout the apps. There are 8 label colours to choose from, and they can be repeated.
Labels and their respective colours are used throughout the Nirovision applications:
in all four views of Activity (Check-ins, Attendance, Events and Identities Seen) and your exported Activity data. Filters that can be used individually or in combination with others, to narrow down your data. Learn more.
in the Events graph, to easily find activity from a specific group of people by their colour.
in the Identities tab, to filter your identity database, and bulk apply/remove.
to create inclusive or exclusive Label alarms. Learn more.
Labels also play an important role in the Doorkeeper application:
Labels are automatically applied to an identity when they enrol to Nirovision for the first time, based on the selected Onboarding option. Learn more.
Surveys answers can also apply labels. Learn more.
Hosts are nominated via labels. Learn more.
Labels drive access rules: decide if people in this group are allowed on site, and what information, documentation or checks they need to perform in order to be granted access. Learn more.
You can create unlimited labels. An identity can have one or multiple labels assigned.
The best way to approach labels is to think about your access, alert and reporting needs: if you need to analyse activity for a group, allocate specific access requirements or want to know about a group's activity in real time, the group could use a label.
